Beyond

We are not a start-up!

That’s right! Contrary to several assumptions, we are not a start-up who just got into manufacturing!

At Hexa GT, we’re proud to have over 35 years of industrial manufacturing experience. We’ve supplied components to major global players like ABB, Schneider, Hitachi, and Beetel. Our products have even been featured on the Asian Sky Shopping network in the mid-90s.

In 2016-2017, we noticed a void in the motorcycle luggage space, especially with the rise of ADV motorcycles in India. Our founding member, a seasoned motorcyclist, faced the same issue while touring on his Kawasaki Versys 650. The existing options were either too expensive or unreliable. That’s when we decided to develop our own top case and pannier system.

Our R&D process involved developing components on AutoCAD and Solidworks, and each prototype faced various challenges. Despite setbacks, we were determined to make the project successful. Our mission is to provide a hassle-free luggage system made entirely in India, rather than importing and rebranding products from China like many in the industry.

Our goal was to cover the entire spectrum of features, including backrest, stainless steel locks, and inner bags, even though they added weight. We develop almost every component in-house, with 95% of operations like CNC machining, painting, and sheet metal fabrication done in-house. We partner with a select few vendors for outsourced items, aiming to uplift them with the project.

We named our project Hexa-GT, inspired by the hexagon shape of the top/side case and the GT (Grand Touring/tourismo) spirit. Our focus is to change the touring luggage scene by launching exciting new products to meet riders’ needs across India and beyond.

We celebrate the “made in India” spirit and aspire to contribute to various global fronts through our efforts in engineering and manufacturing.

Seen in the picture above is a bootstrapped pannier system we developed for the YZF R15 way back in 2015/16.
